Hi Wise Nospam,

There are many contract manufacturer that will do everything for you for
A-Z including,  sourcing the components and testing, or any portion of
it, assuming that you are willing to pay. I can refer you to one or two
in the Bay Area in a private email communication.

Also, soldering dense packages by hand is definitely doable as long that
they are not BGA. For example, we have no problem  soldering by hand
prototypes with 240 pin TQFP. All you need is a good microscope (about
450$), good iron with tiny tip (about 100$), flux (10$), thin solder
(20$) and patient (priceless).

Some people also mentioned the poor people reflow process using kitchen
oven but I don't have any experience with it.
