Yes, I can do it in the PIC16F873/-4/-6/-7 . The PIC16F876 /877 are both
2Kx14 flash pgm memory. I've never filled up pone of these babies yet.

Yep. No, all of the pics I listed above are available in DIP. In fact, the
876 & 877 has 256 bytes of EEROM memory in addition to 368 bytes of RAM
memory.
