Hi, I understand the basics of how to use a transistor for a switch, and how to pick them and calculate the base resistor and such, but not for FETs. Can anyone here please explain to me how to do this with a JFET or MOSFET. I tried google but only found links explaining the theory of how it is built, and having a hard time actually designing a switch from that. I want to know how to calculate the current it can provide to the load and the current it will draw (from a PIC output pin) and other important calculations. Also, how would I know if to use a mosfet or jfet? Thanks in advance. Brian _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 helps eliminate e-mail viruses.
