Is that because it will not disassemble easily?  Remember the manufacturer
might have done that deliberately, either by swapping address or data lines
to the PROM or by decoding instructions as they are loaded (not sure how,
on an 8051).  Check for any other circuitry between the PROM and the
processor pins, and check each address and data line goes where it should

And, of all the hi-fi manufacturers, _that_ manufacturer might be the one
with the time, money and interest to do such things :-)
