For me, easy purchase of the soldering tips are more important than the
differences among the different brands.

I would try going with one that I can get it easily from local shops.  Or I
could stock more when getting the iron, but then I would not know which
would be the ones to stock.  SMT needs wave-soldering tips, think more and
more brands are offering that now.

And later you might owe more irons in future, and you do want them to use
the same type of tips if possible.
