I guess it's the timer working towards a timely hard disk upgrade ? (just kidding) I have a XP question too: I have a cpp program that executes system(PATH); and fails with an error like 'C:\Program is not an internal or external command', but entering PATH at the command prompt works. The system() command also works as is in 95,98,98SE. PATH is of the form: "C:\Program Files\Some Folder\program.exe" (the quotes are in the string). Where is this change in quoting documented ? Web search etc did not help. Remember that typing the path into 95,98,98SE works. Peter -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
