I used to think that the Weller TCP irons were the best ever, until I used a
PACE temp controlled iron (ST35 model).  The standard Iron has many tips for
PTH and surface mount.  The SM tips are concave which holds a decent amount
of solder, so that you can solder many pins in one go.  I still use the
Weller if 2 irons are needed though...
