I am measuring air pressures inside of plastic tubing with a battery = powered microcontroller. Since the air is moving, it builds a static = charge on the plasic tubing. My plastic pressure sensors (Motorola MPX) = are connected to the tubing with vinyl tubing. I am wondering if there = is a need to supply a discharge path for static buildup. I was thinking = of some metal couplers on the plastic tubing, grounded with a wire to = some ground point, like a water pipe. But perhaps I could just ground to = the negative battery terminal?
