I perhaps snipped out too much of the original post. My comment was re
National Semiconductor, who now have the worst sample policy in the
industry, only a shade above not offering samples at all. Maxim is OK, only
their delivery time (I'm on the East Coast) isn't all that good (~7-10
business days). The other thing I hate is that they don't let you know if a
part is temporarily out of stock and will be shipped later -- I ordered a
sample of some NVSRAM --- didn't arrive for 2 months!
