I have a couple of the original OTP firmware chips for the picstart plus
that came out of units when I upgraded the firmware in them.  You can have
one free if that will help.  If you have a blank 17C44 then you could use
the older version in the picstart to program the 17C44 with the latest
firmware.  Otherwise, I do have a 17C44 that I could program and send.
