The install wizard throws up "Windows 5.1 is running. This version
of Red Alert is a Windows 95 only product" with an OK box. Which
when clicked aborts the installation

There might be a way to do it in DOS. I'll have to go through the
Readme and see what it says about DOS / DOS box. Perhaps
even look for a C&C forum
