I know that you can use two LM555 Timers to make a two tone alarm

I have searched the archives and used GOOGLE to look for information on creating sounds with a PIC. I am building a toy and want it to have "POLICE SIRENS". I know you can use a TXER / FET to interface to a buzzer or something....(any good ideas?). I would love to know if anybody has any ideas for a good buzzer and good circuitry to be used. I have never intentionally created sounds with a PIC, only the crackling of a burning PIC when shorted directly to -48VDC......... So if anybody needs to know how to make your PIC act like a "Rice Krispie" I know how!!

I appreciate any help / advice I could get.
