Good idea using USB, but these device make minimal use of the USB bandwidth. 1.2 kSps continuous and 8 kSps burst to a 4K buffer. That's far far below USB capability suggesting that the processor doing the USB conversion is the bottleneck (else why burst to a buffer). USB2 has the promise of making MSps Flash converters available. But, at 12 bits, a good start.
