Why? 2) I've used Ivex in the past. on the plus side, I found it intuitive to use. Not really a steep learning curve. The tech support was pretty good. On the down side, it needed a lot of tech support. The layout program would routinely crash and corrupt the file. Then the only recourse was to send the file to their tech support so they could fix it, or start over. Then there were the constant upgrades. I finally got tired of persuading my boss to pay for the next upgrade, and he tired of lost development time when the file got corrupted. So we switched to PADS PowerPCB and ViewLogic (then Innoveda, now Mentor Graphics) > Why isn't there (unless there is and I don't know of it) a > professional association pushing for such standards? try http://www.pcbstandards.com/Default.php -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
