I expect it will vary by manufacturer, however 1206 and 0805 by Yaego are rated at 2 amps. -Bob P.S. that was in the data sheet, third page. Also, since the maximum resistance is listed as .05 ohm, 2 amps would be .2 watts, OK for 1206 but a little high for 0805 size so maybe they aren't paying too much attention to their own spec sheets.
