Hi list ...

My application is a 12v DC motor driving a small gearbox on a powered
kiddies type
cart.

I have a display showing batt voltage, current, temperatures etc but now
wish to
implement a sort of fuel guage, ie run time left in battery while pulling
this much
current.

Batts are 12v 12ah and motor pulls apprx 2.8A while on the flat, more
obviously when
uphill or more heavilly loaded.

How do I work out the duration remaining in the battery at the current rate
? and how
do I account for the fact that I have perhaps been running at 2amps for
20mins and
now 3 amps for 30 mins etc etc
