Hi to all engineers, I have a few questions. 1. I always use uart over rs485 interface and now I am wondering what kind of protocol Is it used in real rs485 is it similar to standard uart start/data/parity/stop ? 2. 30 feet long RJ45 cable if it is not wired right I get data speed drop correct connector installed I get 1.500 kb per second incorrect connector installed I get 400 kb per second my question is if the data is not traveling thru twisted pair why speed drops? Is this means we are not loosing data just we are not receiving it fast enough right? 3.main reason I need to know this because I am making a tester that is going to check if connector is correct or not and I need to know if I need to count amount of bytes recived or amount of time another words I want to send data from one side of connector and receive it back from the other side of connector I just do not know how many byte of data to send to make sure it Is fine any idea?
