Some weeks/months ago, I posted a message here asking how someone should=20 accurately determine which errata sheets apply to which chips, as the err= ata=20 sheet revision codes did not directly correspond with the batch codes on = the=20 physical chips. Responses were underwhelming, so I spoke with Microchip'= s=20 tech support and though they ran off and came back with some info, they c= ould=20 not get me any self-sufficient process by which I could find this out. I= t=20 seems like I'd have to call and wait some days for a response. I'm curious why I'm the only one concerned about this. Isn't anyone else= =20 (especially the commercial PIC developers, consultants, etc) concerned ab= out =20 this, or am I missing something here? Do you just assume all errata shee= ts=20 apply? If so, how do you know if some previous issue has been resolved i= n a=20 later chip revision? Or ... ??? I'm also curious why this correlation is such a secret within Microchip.
