If you are interested in programming in C and would
like a good FREE compiler to play around with, then
consider these devices: 16F877, 16F877A, 12F675,
12F629, 16F627, 16C84, 16F84 and 16F84A.  These are
all supported by the PICC Lite Freeware Compiler.

(I'm sure there are other free compilers that work
on other devices, I just don't have any experience
with them...perhaps others on this list do).
