A few days ago I got my cypress emulator with ANSI C compiler
Paid 199$ and it does every thing that ice2000 does and cypress
Micro does every thing that pic18fxxx does even has DAC on board.
I just wanted to work with other products to see the different
Cypress Psoc, atmel, Motorola etc,
Long time ago I learned GW basic but never used it for embedded
Applications who makes basic compilers?
Is basic as good as C?

You can buy a very good Basic compiler for about 200$ and upgrades are
free!

And it covers most devices from 12C508 -(even the RF509AG) to 18F8720
(no
extras for 18series devices and new ones added all the time) In fact you
can
add your own in a lot of cases.

Hi to all engineers,

I bought hi-tech c compiler older version about 2 years ago paid
850$ and received update one time after started working with 18
family pic I bought pic18 compiler for 550$ now new MPLAB 6.20
doesn't communicate with my older version 7,83 complier Hi-tech
wants 200$ to fix the problem by saying it is not their fault. If pic18
is install already and I want to install 7.83 older compiler it will
overwrite
on pic18 compiler directory instead of creating separate directory.
All of this I think should be taking care of with free of charge because
I do not need any new device support all I need is use one MPLAB instead
Of 2 mplabs for each compiler. I just need your opinion to find out if
This 200$ charge is necessary or not?
