Hi. I'm currently building that one now. Note that in this project, there is no download HEX file for the AVR. You have to buy a pre-programmed CPU from Elektor. I realised this *after* getting a blank AVR and building programming hardware :-( I also bought the PCB frm Elektor. On the other hand, I got the costly FIFO's as samples from IDT (16 kbit depth)... Another "problem" was that Elektor specified 74F- and 74LS-series logic. AC or AHC would probably work OK. I'v got a mix of logic types that I will test. It's half built right now, so I can't say how it performs. Jan-Erik.
