Has anyone experienced ICD comm problems on a fast processor (2.4GHz P4) or while running Windows XP? My homebuilt ICD works just fine on my older 133MHz Pentium running Windows 98se but is totally unuseable on my new machine due to constant comm failures. Downloading proceeds very slowly and can rarely get past even the first couple of hundred bytes before a comm failure occurs. I've tried running at both 19,200 and 57,600 baud with the UART FIFO's enabled and disabled with no apparent difference. I'm using the 5.70.40 version of MPLAB. Any ideas or workarounds?
