Jameco has the "schwab's school assortment" that looks relatively
interesting, as well as more ... deterministic parts collections.  I've
bought a couple of the latter, mostly as "refill kits" (no cabinet) and
been pretty happy...

(OTHO, I don't think I understand why anyone would want 100 EACH of 2n3904
and 2n2222a transistors.  Granted that they're both popular, but aren't they
largely interchangable with each other?  I've been picking up better bargins
from eBay and the surplus dealers, assuming things like "a general purpose
100mA NPN transistor IS a general purpose 100mA NPN transistor, and 972kohms
is more or less 1Mohm, and so on, but it takes a while.)
