Hello everyone, About a year ago I bought a deep cycle battery to run my ham gear with. It has sat around for a long time doing nothing. This weekend I rearranged my ham shack to make use of the battery. I thought I'd put it on my charger (for like a car battery), put the charge setting to 12 volts @15A in Deep Cycle mode. After about 4 hours I went to check on it. The meter read about a 6A/hr charge rate, but I also noticed what sounded like "boiling" coming from the battery. I felt the battery and it was warm. I didn't know what this meant so I unplugged it. This 'boiling', is it good, bad, or indifferent? What does it mean?
