> Is there a way to use a PC monitor (sync's down to 50Hz) to watch TV? > The monitor has RGB inputs, and i have a composite or svideo TV signal. > Any idea? It is possible, however it is generally not worth the effort. What you'll need is circuitry to convert the SVideo or composite signal to something the monitor will like. To do this you'll need sync extractor circuitry (not that difficult) and colour extraction circuitry (much more difficult). All this is dependant on your monitor being able to sync at the rates of your TV system (whatever system that might be, you mention 50Hz so I'm guessing PAL). Personally, TVs are so cheap (especially used) I don't really see any reason to even try doing it.
