Those interested in doing their own TIVO equivalent box may like to look at
http://www.zarlink.com/ for the ZL10320/1 chips and other support chips they
do. It looks like you could built a complete system including satellite
tuner with their chips.

They also seem to have a whole host of interesting looking chips from doing
a quick run down the app note list. Well worth a look for high speed chips
for dividers, PLL etc.
