> Is there a way to use a PC monitor (sync's down to 50Hz) to watch TV? > The monitor has RGB inputs, and i have a composite or svideo TV signal. > Any idea? It should be possible because video sync rates are fairly close to VGA sync rates, which all PC monitors support. However, you will have to separate vertical and horizontal sync yourself. A standard PC monitor (SVGA interface) requires, Vsync, Hsync, and separate R, G, and B. I built a circuit once that converted the output of an old Unix workstation to SVGA. The Unix box output was separate red, green, and blue BNC cables with composite sync on the green channel. It worked fine. ***************************************************************** Embed Inc, embedded system specialists in Littleton Massachusetts (978) 742-9014, http://www.embedinc.com -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics (like ads or off topics) for you.
