>>hardly more than a low value resistor: the *best* thing for a batte= ry :-) >> =20 >> >Isnt charging slowly with 10% of the battery's capacity for approx 1= 4hours >the best way? > Absolutly not !! I've over 10 years of experience with reflex loading (15 min .. 30 mi= n)=20 and here are some facts - over 10 years ago I started with about 20 AA NiCd batteries, which= =20 where dumped in the trash, because their capacity was too low or eve= n=20 zero (short circuited) - after loading them with 2C to 4C (that's 2 ...4 Ampere !!) about 1= 5=20 of them where again in perfect shape - what's perfect ? there capacity was larger then 100%, in most cases= =20 120..130 %, but some at 150% !! - now after 10 years I've about 10 left, still in perfect condition - besides that, I've done a lot (50..100) of recoveries of NiCd=20 batteries that were defective, both for friends and at my work. The reason that (almost) no one uses this trick is that they are=20 (hardly) not commercial available. At my work we bought a number of quiet expensive NiCd charger (upto 5= 00=20 Euro), but they all stay in the shadow of the reflex charger. I'm sure that everyone that has ever used a reflex charger, will conf= irm=20 these experiences.
