Got the Xport development kit today, and I must say I was impressed. Gave it to my customers software guys and within an hour they had it linking a serial port (PC dumb terminal) accross the workshop (via ethernet and wireless LAN) to a VB app on another PC. I was just looking over their shoulders but the functionality looks very comprehensive and easy to set up. Embedding it in our product shouldn't be anything harder than providing a 3.3V 210mA power supply and doing 3.3V/5V level shifting for the Rx/Tx data lines. -- Brent Brown, Electronic Design Solutions 16 English Street, Hamilton, New Zealand Ph/fax: +64 7 849 0069 Mobile/txt: 025 334 069 eMail: brent.brown@clear.net.nz -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
