If you've lost all passwords, you have a few options based on what you want to do=
:

If the partitions are all NTFS, do a new side-by-side installation of XP=2E That=20=
way you can retrieve any files you need (unless encryption is enabled, in which c=
ase you are toast)=2E

If you have FATxx partitions, simply boot up with a Win9x boot disk and pick the=20=
files you need=2E

There are utilities for password extraction, but I've never used any of them, so=20=
I can't say if they are any good=2E

When you've saved your work, format and do a clean install=2E

I admit, I hate XP! win2000 in my opinion is the best=2E
but I have to help a friend and maybe someone knows the solution=2E
she lost the main owner/admin account in her XP home edition, now she see a
new user in other name and of course all of the files from the previous
login name are disappear=2E when she boot she can see the new account (the
empty one) but she can't see the previous=2E I didn't look at her computer
yet, so I cannot give you any details=2E
I will go there in 2 days to see the problem myself, but maybe someone who
have experience in that kind of problem can assist me=2E
