>How about Ferric Chloride (etchant)? One of my tasks this weekend is to > find a etchant low-cost heater. How low cost ? Will the tea kettle do ? I use the double containment method. Inner container is food container with lid, contains FeCl3 and a few small pebbles. Outer is empty and much larger (2 or 3liters). In use I put both on the floor on a phonebook (insulation) and pour the contents of the kettle into the outer container. After 10 minutes I put in the board and after 25 more I take it out (without stirring - there is no need). The FeCl3 is about 0.5-0.7l. You could use a metal outer container and put it on an electric hot plate. The FeCl3 will not boil while there is water in the outer. Make sure you cure the photoresist with dry heat before etching at high temperature. Peter -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
