Doing some searching, I've come up emtpy, but somewhere I've seen some notes
on this.

Using a standard LED, but driving it with low voltage AC (24V or 48V).
Seems like one was a resistor only solution but another was a res/cap
solution.  So does anyone have a reference to this?  Seems like it should be
simple to do, but curious about the underlying concept about it.
