I can relate to the situation at hand. I just started diving last year and my first saltwater dive was in the Florida Keys off the Isle of Marada. I had tyhe best time of my life. Fortunately I had a more familiar diver with me that knew exactly where we were, and how far from the boat. I had to surface early beacause of the amount of air I had. He point me in the direction of the boat and gasve me an aproximate distance. Now the fun part comes in I enbded up about 40 yards from the boat. Not too bad but when he came he asked what had happened and I told him that underwater there where no directions. The salution ? I enrolled in a navigation class this year... Starts in two weeks. I(t has something to do with the kicks and the of course the compass. Not that this helps. However I would be interested in any other directional solutions you guys come up with Eddie, kc4awz -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
