It's looking like a 'scope will become a necessity for me fairly shortly. The stuff I'm playing around with are PICs and small embedded Java systems. Nothing with a clockspeed > 70Mhz...and I'm mostly interested in looking at things like 1-wire networks, I2C, SPI, async serial, etc. Price is a major consideration right now, so I was looking at the OPTAscope 81M...which is a PeeCee-based 'scope that plugs into the USB port. Any comments? Are would I be better off searching on eBay for a used Tektronix or HP 'scope? If so, any recommendations on models?
