The last firmware upgrade I made to the Picstart+ was to 3.0.32

Is this recent enough to properly and reliably programme the
18F452, or does 3.11 f/w make allowances/corrections for errata ?

I'm asking because the only 17C44 I can get is > $50 from RS
and I'd rather not upgrade if it's not absolutely necessary. I've
not got the PICs yet so don't know what revision they are
