Soon.  Thru hole engineering units have been working and in regular use
for months.  I'm supposed to have first surface mount pilot run production
units in my hand by the end of the week.

We will be setting up an e-commerce site, and this will be the first
product.  We will accept the major credit cards, no PayPal required.

> What software is used to operate the unit?

For now there will be Windows command line programs that you pass the HEX
file name to.  The serial protocol will be documented, and the software
will be open source.

> Does it perform multi-level Vdd verification?

Yes.  The times I posted included a verification pass at each Vdd limit.
This makes it a "production" versus "prototype" programmer according to
the Microchip definition.
