Hi All, Has anyone successfully used the code generated by "Application Maestro" on an 18F? I am trying to apply it to a current project and have had no comms in either direction. The program is running and the LCD and a few LED's are updating as they should. By mis-setting the baud rate in Hyperterm I have been able to generate (then reset) a framing error, but that's as close to "signs of life" that I've seen. Hyperterm is set to COM1, 8,N,1, no handshaking at 38400 Baud. The defs file for Maestro shows 38400 baud for a 9.8304 Mhz xtal. I have tried both with and without HSPLL. I am not very confident that I'm using Hyperterm correctly. I D/L'ed TeraTerm and haven't had any luck there either. I'm using a handmade "Null Modem" cable with : Pins 5 connected straight through (GND) Pins 2 and 3 crossed over (Tx to RX, RX to TX) Pins 7 and 8 crossed over (CTS and RTS) Pins 6 and 4 crossed over (DSR and DTR) Finally, on the project board: DB9 Pin 2 RX Pin 3 TX Loopback 7 to 8 Loopback 6 and 4 I am using a MAX232, connected per datasheet. I'm showing +8.9V and -8.89V on the charge caps. So far, I've had very little luck. This is beginning to look like I'm missing something obvious. Any suggestions?
