A lot of the tests they used to do with Holloman's rocket sled involved g-limit medical testing. They'd strap some poor stiff who lost the coin flip on board, accelerate that baby at 10-15 g's, decelerate it again, and see if he was still alive. A lot of the test "victims" got stuck in a hospital bed for weeks, recovering from these extreme forces. They also used this baby to test ejection seats at high speeds.
