does anyone know where I can get up to date info on being an internet
service provider(ISP) ?

I'm interested in finding out about upstream service providers in
particular.  What kind of bandwidth can you get, the costs, the equipment,
etc.

any links or tips much appreciated,

I've found some stuff doing searches but its very old stuff.
