I got samples of 18F2320-I/SP and 18F4320-I/P a couple of months ago, none of these are marked "ES". And the errata sheet is marked "2002" (no date). So this is probably no big deal (as Olin expected). Not really. First, this is a new part and the errata applies to the "ES" version. This stands for engineering samples. Such early versions often have a few strange problems. Unless you are reasonably well connected, you'll never see an ES chip. Seconds, if you've got enough expertise with PICs and electronics to get ES parts, modifying a programmer produce 3V power instead of 5V shouldn't be a big deal for you. ***************************************************************** Embed Inc, embedded system specialists in Littleton Massachusetts (978) 742-9014, http://www.embedinc.com -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
