Well, after a second thought (an a second test on the mouse electronics) I'v found out that the pulses are there even when the sensor is de-soldered. So they must come from the IC then. Still, I'd like to know how the sensor modulates the puls train and how it detects which way the spoke is moving. Well, this was just a late-night-thing, and I'm not going to take it any longer than this... Nice component, anyway...
