Check out Thurbey Thandar http://www.tti-test.com for a model TSX-P3510 which is a switcher doing 35V 10A, RS232 or GPIB remote control available as standard. Have used several of these and they work quite nicely. Also available through RS Components. If you do not need the programmable settings you may be able to use the TSX series, which seems to be the same device without the remote control. You loose the third display which gets to display the watts output when the output is on though. I cannot remember if they will actually push to 36V, but you may be able to get them to tweak it for you, especially if you do not need the full 10A. They also do an 18V 20A version of it, which suggests they may be able to do so. Just looking further through the catalogue page I have, look also at the EX-R series, which is specifically listed as going to 42 volts, 180W to 420W capability. In any doubt talk to their sales rep. The guy I have dealt with is Leigh Delves tel 01480 412 451, mobile 07770 898802. I have no association with them, just satisfied customer. -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways. See http://www.piclist.com/#archives for details.
