I had also signed up for that TI seminar, but questioning whether I shoul= d=20 bother. When I tried to sign in to their website, it wouldn't let me. T= he=20 "forgot password" option told me my email was invalid, though I still get= =20 marketing emails from TI still at that address. So I try to find support on their website for this problem, but couldn't = find=20 anything specific enough for this. So I try calling, but no phone number= s=20 listed, except for investor relations. So I start there, get pushed off = to 7=20 different phone numbers, with departments like IT stating that they have = no=20 where who to go to for that. I haven't left my email address with anyon= e=20 except on a feedback form on their website. Eventually someone emails me back stating that the password has been rese= t for=20 that email address. I could log in now, and I changed the password back=20 again. Since then, I've received a few more emails trying to solve the=20 problem, but some obviously not understanding the problem. Since the onl= y=20 place I left the email address was on their website, I know this is not=20 because of my calling around. Having been in large companies before, I k= now=20 that there is some level of sloppiness and lack of ownership, but this is= =20 ridiculous. At least get the customer-facing support a bit structured an= d=20 cleaned up. [Sorry, feel like venting a bit about TI.] Compared to that, I must say that one of the best large companies I've de= alt=20 with lately is National Semiconductor. They've got their act together.
