I use Mozilla, and the current version has an automatic junk mail filtering - you "teach" the program marking junk mail with a special flag and in a few days it starts to guess what's junk or not, saving those garbage in a different folder for later inspection, with the ability to automatically delete these messages after a period of time - default to 14 days. You can refine the program's ability to catch spam setting or clearing that "junk flag" from messages misinterpreted by the guessing. It works great, I can tell. If you already use another e-mail client, I recommend "spam assassin". There are many versions, according to your OS: http://spamassassin.org/where.html Hope this helps Francisco Orbit Communications wrote: >Has anyone else here been bombarded with unsolicited messages from www.byebyeads.com ? > >Anyone know how I can prevent these pop-up messages from being received on my PC ? > >-- >http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different >ways.
