I've been looking around for an electric clutch for some time now with =
little success. Here are the specs I'm looking for:
--> 1-20 lb holding force
--> low power (<300 mAh
--> fails in open position (i.e. normally open operation - closed when =
activated)
--> low cost <$70
Any solutions? Please note that these parameters are very flexible. If =
you know of anything that remotely fits the bill, please pass it along!
BTW, this clutch will be used in a kind of "cruise control" (not for a =
car, though :o)  ), where it is desirable to have a manual override. The =
clutch will go between a servo and the throttle.
