He's in another state, and the amount is big for me but small in lawyer terms. I did consider a lawyer, but I strongly suspect it would be a waste of everyone's time... and of course I'd have to pay the lawyer up front, costing me more than I've already lost in fees. I chalk it up as a tuition payment. Of course one of these days I'll go knock on the guy's door if I'm out his way and we'll discuss it.
