Mike, Thanks, you didn't remind me, I just didn't know at all! Sorry about the earlier email, I thought you meant the chip wouldn't run before unplugging the debugger. :-) Why do you have to power cycle it (just out of interest)? Doesn't this cause problems when using ICSP on production boards? The timing will be all to cock until you power cycle it. It could cause it to crash. I have measured that an 18F8720 running in HS mode with a 20MHz xtal uses 10.25mA, and in HS + PLL mode with a 5MHz xtal uses 10.05mA, not as much difference as I was hoping :-( But will be better for EMC.
