1  -  Because then they'd have an infinite parade of bozos calling their
800 number asking if 439mAH is compatible with their radio labeled for 9
volts and 1300 killerhurts.

2  -  Because people are supposed to buy batteries for logical reasons,
like pink bunnys.  Besides, it might point out the competitors batteries
are better (which is probably why the pink bunny was needed in the first
place).
