> So, are the specifications true, are expensive high power batteries > absolutely identical to normal ones? A TV program here did a survey very recently. I've tried to find the item in their archives to give you more details but I can't find it. What they found was that the best value for money by far were the standard Eveready Heavy Duty (the black ones). In performance they came in only just behind the expensive Titanium and Duracell high demand types. In one test they got something like 18 hours from the Eveready and 19 hours from the others, and in another test all three lasted 2 hours, yet the Eveready were significantly cheaper. When it comes to powering a micro that's powered down most of the time it's not easy to extrapolate the discharge curve down into uA and factors such as self-discharge / shelf-life are probably relevant -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
