Lyle, I have not had the time to try any sort of experimentation at all. It might just be that the firmware of the 745 doesn't even have to change, perhaps just the VB code. So there are three possible cases: 1) For $USD36 you have a programmer for 12F629, 12F675, 16F630, 16F676 2) By modifying the PC application you get a USB PIC programmer for more flash parts. (Assume the firmware doesn't need to change.) 3) By modifying the '745 firmware and PC application you get a USB PIC programmer for more flash parts. (Assume you have a way to program the '745) I'm hoping for #2, as are you, I think. I bought this programmer just to see if this could be done.
